This advanced clinical training workshop provides mental health clinicians with an in-depth overview of Imagery Rescripting (ImRs) for treating adults with treatment-resistant OCD. Led by Dr. Gayle Maloney, Director and Principal Clinical Psychologist at Perth OCD Clinic in Australia and Associate Clinical Professor at the Yale University OCD Research Clinic, this training delivers practical clinical skills through a detailed 10-step ImRs-OCD treatment protocol (Maloney, Arntz & Pittenger, 2025). The workshop consists of 10 modules of pre-recorded didactic content, role-play videos demonstrating clinical skills, downloadable worksheets, and reflection exercises (6 hours of CPD); PLUS a live, online clinical skills workshop (5 hours of CPD) to practice the ImRs-OCD skills.
Workshop Content
The program consists of 10 pre-recorded modules, including:
* A foundational overview of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard OCD treatment (1 hour)
* Comprehensive training on ImRs as an adjunct intervention for treatment-resistant OCD
* Theoretical background and research supporting ImRs
* Detailed instruction on the 10-step ImRs-OCD protocol
* Guidance on identifying appropriate aversive events for rescripting
* Techniques for conducting effective therapist-led and client-led rescripting sessions
* Methods to encourage development of healthy adult self-behaviours
* Strategies for integrating ERP and ImRs into maintenance sessions
* A special guest lecture by Professor Arnoud Arntz (University of Amsterdam) on Imagery Rescripting research
